1st day

This morning marked a huge milestone at the Templeton house. Slade started Kindergarten. And I have looked at the clock no less than 100 times. I love seeing my boys doing new things and enjoying life. He was such a big boy that it broke my heart. He has counted down this summer until school started. He was so excited to meet new friends. And for 7 hours a day for 5 days a week, I have to let him be free. I won't be there to protect him if someone is mean to him and tell him to listen if he's not paying attention or kiss and hug him if he is sad or hurt. And that is why I am crying like a baby right now! The fear of the unknown. But it's going to ok, right? Every child has to go to school but when it's your own it is so hard to let go.
He was so proud this morning. He kept telling me "I am going to be okay moma," and "don't worry I will be home on the weekends."
He had a great summer. He played t-ball and although there were times I had to bribe him to go, in the end he really enjoyed it. He attended Barnyard Buddies, a camp that the Brighton FFA students/teachers do. He liked it except the day the sheep pooped on his foot. lol. He went to VBS for a week and is still singing the songs he learned. We went to the lake 3 times and he spent many hours at his mammy's house.
I saw this on pinterest and thought it was so very appropriate for today. Come on 2:30. I can't wait to hear about his day!!
